Billy Davis Construction (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit billydavisconstruction.com (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information you give us
We collect information you choose to send us through the forms on the Site:
- Quote and contact forms: your name, email address, phone number and the details you include about your project.
- Careers form: your name, email address, phone number, message and any resume or file you upload.
- Newsletter sign-up: your first name, last name and email address.
- Apparel orders: our apparel page uses an embedded Google Form. Information you enter there is collected by Google on our behalf and is also covered by Google’s Privacy Policy.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, the Site automatically collects some technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how you arrived at the Site, and your general location (city or region). We use this information to understand how the Site is used and to improve it.
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to measure Site traffic and to count actions such as quote requests and phone-number taps. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect this information. Google reCAPTCHA. Our forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information and sends it to Google. Its use is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Cookies. Cookies are small files stored by your browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The Site will still work, but some features may not.
How we use your information
- To respond to your questions and prepare quotes and estimates.
- To review job applications and contact applicants.
- To send our newsletter, if you signed up. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link.
- To process apparel orders.
- To operate, secure and improve the Site.
How we share your information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run our business and the Site, and only as needed for them to do that work:
- Our website developer and administrator, Midwest Business Solutions, which receives copies of form submissions to make sure they are delivered and the forms work correctly.
- Our website host, which stores the Site and form submissions.
- Mailchimp, which we use to send our newsletter.
- Google, which provides Google Analytics, reCAPTCHA and Google Forms.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, our customers or others.
How long we keep it
We keep quote and contact requests as long as needed to respond and for our normal business records. We keep job applications for up to two years in case another position opens, unless you ask us to delete yours sooner. Newsletter subscribers stay on our list until they unsubscribe. Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
Your choices
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we have about you, correct it, or delete it by contacting us using the information below. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in any newsletter email. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state’s privacy laws, and we will honor those requests as required.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including an encrypted (HTTPS) connection for the entire Site. No website or internet transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Links to other sites
The Site links to other websites, such as Facebook and Google Maps. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page.
